I saw this post, my point is that he was stating that the giraffes are each a vertical column of 8 pieces, that's true, but when he says to post the giraffes like this:

Giraffe #1 Giraffe #2 Giraffe #3 Giraffe #4

Rather than like this:

Giraffe #1
Giraffe #2
Giraffe #3
Giraffe #4

It confused me. I was trying to but the giraffes next to each other, as would be indicated in example #1 above, rather than top-to-bottom like example #2

And you're right, Rick, that is how the challenge was designed. But as I stated, we don't feel like that was specified clearly and therefore would be unfair to take away their win. I'm sorry but that's the way this thing goes. I should have been more clear.

Thank you for taking my argument seriously. I understand what you are saying. I just feel that the results of the challenge were altered by David and me interpreting the rules differently, and losing because of that does not sit well with me.
